The New Generation RayMon is a high-performance spectrometer for detecting and analysing radionuclides. Its lightweight and portability brings high quality spectral analysis, previously bound to the lab, into the field.

Experts and less-experienced users can both benefit from the tablet’s simple-to-use interface, making isotope classification and reading dose and counts per second measurements, easy.

The interchangeable set of probes available with the RayMon further expand its versatility as a detection and analysis device, due to their varying resolutions and sensitivities. The most appropriate Probe for the task at hand can be selected and rapidly deployed.

Automatic Isotope Identification

When the isotope ID setting is turned on and the CZT Probe connected, advanced gamma analysis and radioisotope classification is possible with a library of 94 radionuclides and the opportunity to add custom radionuclides specific to your application.

Spectrum analysis for more advanced users

A detailed library of the emission lines from 94 radionuclides are available to the user for analysis. Specific to needs of the application, the libraries can be configured by the user to give focus to the radionuclides of interest.

Dynamic search and alarm capability

Search mode allows sources to be rapidly located, with clear visual graphs displaying when count rate is on the rise.

CZT Probe

  • 1 cm3 CZT crystal in the form of our GR1 detector
  • High resolution of <2.5% at 662 keV for precise spectral peaks with unambiguous interpretation
  • Automated radionuclide ID for ANSI N42.48
  • Operation at room temperature without need for cooling
  • Small form factor enabling dose and CPS measurements in tight spaces
  • Temperature compensation

NaI Probe

  • 2”x2” Sodium Iodide Crystal
  • High sensitivity for rapid count data collection in low dose environments
  • Small form factor enabled by incorporation of silicon photomultiplier
  • Resolution of <7.5% at 662 keV for defined spectral peaks
  • Dose and CPS measurements
  • Temperature compensation
  • Calibration and detector information stored on the probe

Alpha Beta Probe

  • Identification of Alpha and Beta contamination
  • Small size and lightweight allows the Probe to be used for extended amounts of time
  • CPS clearly displayed on the RayMon as a gauge or numerically
  • Stand-off bracket ensures detector face remain uncontaminated during scans
  • Calibration and detector information stored on the probe
