The Kromek GR1 family is a range of CZT-based high-performance gamma-ray spectrometers. They are completely self-contained, with built-in preamplifier, shaping amplifier, baseline restorer, pulse height digitizer, and HV supply. The digitized pulse heights of detected gamma-ray signals are sent to a PC via the USB. The unit is powered entirely from the USB bus, so no external power supply is needed.

Can be used across all gamma radiation detection needs either straight out of the box or built into your own devices. The GR gamma ray detectors can be mounted side by side in an array to give you coverage of a large area.

The GR1 family range

Gamma-ray detector spectrometer models

The GR gamma-ray detector spectrometer family comes in a number of models.

  • The GR1 Plus (+) Gamma-ray detector spectrometer model feature a higher resolution than the base gamma-ray model.
  • The GR1 A-model feature different outputs for some who want to access more of the raw data coming out of the gamma-ray detector.
  • The GR05 model has a smaller CZT detector designed to operate in areas of high-flux (high-count).

For those that need extra outputs channels and higher resolution

  • Energy resolution: < 2.0% FWHM @ 662 keV
  • USB output
  • Three MCX connectors that provide energy and timing outputs and gate inputs

  • 1 cm cubed CZT detector

For use in a high-flux environment

GR05 gamma-ray spectromter

  • Energy resolution: < 2.5% FWHM @ 662 keV
  • Max dose rate approximately 10mSv/hr
  • USB output
  • Smaller 0.5 cm cubed CZT detector
  • For use in high-count (high-flux) environments

For use for quantitative analysis

Quant GR1

Quant GR1 is a gamma detector solution for mobile laboratory radionuclide analysis. It is designed for measuring the activity of radionuclides in filters, filter papers, beakers of samples. It comes with an optimised and integrated lead/copper shield that enables operation in both standard and raised backgrounds.
