Kromek’s Race to 1000km Charity Bike Ride

🚴 And that’s a wrap!! 🚴

27 hours of cycling covering a total of 1198.3km as a team. We smashed our target of 1000km.

A big shout out to Stefan Knowles and Tim Brown, who contributed 678.7km to the total distance.

WE HAVE HIT THE 1000KM – in 24hrs!! Well done team. 

We are still powering through to the 27hrs – lets see how many more km’s we can get!!

On Thursday 7th November, Stef from IT and Tim from Servicing will lead the charge to take on an incredible 1000km cycling challenge, without leaving the Kromek boardroom!

Starting at 9am, along with fellow Kromek employees riding in half hour slots, Stef and Tim will be riding through the night on their exercise bikes, aiming to hit the 1000km mark by midday on Friday 8th November.

The purpose of this big cycling feat is to raise funds for two amazing causes: Pancreatic Cancer UK and the British Heart Foundation, in memory of our much-loved colleagues, Elna and Tas.

Their virtual journey will take them from Delft in the Netherlands, where Elna once lived, to Oxford, where Tas worked for 9 years before joining Kromek, and then right up North to finish at our HQ in Sedgefield.
