Trade mission to South Africa: September 2019
Last week Kromek joined other businesses from County Durham, UK on a trade mission to South Africa.
The aim of the mission is for delegates to build on the North East’s strong relationship with South Africa and to explore the country’s export opportunities. We began the tour in Johannesburg, with a business briefing from the Department for International Trade South Africa and a networking session at the Trade Commissioners Residence.
We then travelled to Durban to meet the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Durban KZN. The group also benefited from one-to-one business meetings and a visit to Dube TradePort Special Economic Zone, Africa’s global manufacturing and air logistics platform.
Organised by Business Durham
The trade mission was organised by Business Durham, the economic development arm of Durham County Council, in conjunction with the Department for International Trade, the trade mission took place in Johannesburg and Durban.
