Our headquarters are based in Sedgefield in County Durham, situated on NETPark (North East Technology Park) in between the A1(M) and A19. The North East Technology Park is one of the UK’s premier science, engineering and technology parks for the commercialisation of cutting edge R&D from major international organisations, universities and entrepreneurs.

Durham is a county in North East England, just three hours by train from London and less than two hours from Edinburgh, Newcastle International airport is also close by to welcome international visitors to the region.

Durham City is home to one of the most recognisable landmarks in the UK, Durham Cathedral, together with Durham Castle, this UNESCO World Heritage Site forms one of the most dramatic city panoramas in Europe.

In the Durham Dales you can seek out market towns and villages, relax and enjoy peace and quiet on the Durham Coastline, or get outdoors with walking and cycling route revealing unforgettable views across the county.

"I grew up in Poland and left the country after graduating from university. Me and my wife moved back to the UK and found ourselves in the North East by chance, really. But we’ve come to love this part of the country. People are friendly, there’s lots of outdoors stuff you can do (North Pennines, national parks) and the seaside is just 25 minutes from our house."

Entertainment in Durham County

Durham doesn’t disappoint for entertainment options either, with award winning restaurants, bars and pubs, majority using local produce from farms across the county. Every two years Durham Lumiere Festival takes place in Durham City Centre, where the city comes to life with the most magical display of lights. Thousands of people coming from across the country to see the different displays. You can also step back in time at fascinating heritage attractions including Beamish, the Living Museum of the North, and see history come to life at Kynren – the must-see open air spectacular that takes place in Bishop Auckland every summer. There is also the Locomotion Museum, where you can see highlights of the national collection of railway vehicles in the world’s first railway town, Shildon. It recently had astronaut Tim Peake’s Spacecraft on show in November 2017.

For the sports lovers out there, the region has a host of teams to watch. Durham County Cricket Team in Chester Le Street to Sunderland AFC and Newcastle United football teams, the Newcastle Eagles basketball team, and the Newcastle Falcons Rugby Union and Newcastle Thunder Rugby League teams play out of Kingston Park. We could go on but all sports are well represented, both professionally and in the local leagues. There are also many international games being played in the different stadiums around the region, with world cup games for Rugby and Cricket recently being played.
