Saw Room Operator

Our products can detect cancers much earlier and more precisely, resulting in safer and healthier lives.

We have an opening for a Saw Room Operator.

We have openings on the second and third shifts for saw room operators (Monday – Friday schedule, significant shift differential pay!)

Duties:

• Prepare materials for processing in the saw room
• Operate specialized saws for slicing raw materials (CZT ingots)
• Operate Numerical Control (NC) and Computer Numerical control (CNC) machinery for dicing and cutting materials
• Measure and map out diced and cut materials using various measurement tools
• Complete production documentation as necessary
• Wear personal protective equipment (shoes, gloves) for the performance of the work

Requirements:

• Excellent mechanical and precision dexterity aptitude required.
• Experience with industrial machinery and equipment is preferred. Ability to fully understand the saw room machinery and functionality after a training period required.
• Demonstrated ability to operate a computer including Microsoft windows.
• Multi-task ability – operate/oversee several pieces of machinery/equipment concurrently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices and tools preferred.
• Knowledge and prior use of measurement tools is helpful.
• Able to lift 50 or more lbs. as necessary.
• Able to stand for long periods of time; able to bend and kneel to move materials
